MAHONNATA BHARATAM TRUST was promoted in September 2021 with the goal of preserving our
ancient culture and traditions and promoting national spirit among youngsters. To achieve this goal,
the Trust is in the process of setting up 51 Seva Kendras in Tamil Nadu.
Each Kendra will have a colourful Sudhai (cement) vigraham (statue) of Hanuman and a granite
vigraham of Hanuman in a temple at the centre. On the one side there will be a community hall to
organize skill development courses and teaching classical music, dance, yoga etc. involving the local
youth and the other side will have common utilities. These seva kendras will be built on privately
owned land that are easiiy accessible from main roads and locally registered trusts will ensure
maintenance and smooth functioning of the kendras on an ongoing basis.
The trustees have invested their savings in the trust but find that the task can be achieved only with
the active financial participation of fellow citizens. Each Kendra costs about Rs.20 lakh excluding
value of land and we are in discussions for about 5 Kendras currently. The immediate requirement
is about Rs.1 crore, to start work on five sites that have been identified. All contributions will be
gratefully acknowledged and names of the donors indicating the place from which they hail will be
inscribed in the Kendra and audited accounts will be circulated to all the donors. The project will be
completed within the next six months.
Mahonnata Bharatam Trust has been registered under Section 12 of the Income-tax Act, 1961 and
registration u/s 80G(iv) has been granted to the Trust with effect from 12th May 2022 for three AYs
from 2023-25 to 2025-26. When you transfer funds, please share your transaction ID, full name,
address and PAN to avail the 80G deduction.
